Working in Childcare

Do you want to work with children?
Stockport needs new childminders, playworkers and childcare staff to work in day nurseries, pre-schools, creches and out of school clubs.

To become a registered childminder you need to go on a short course. The course run by Stockport Council consists of two information sessions followed by one evening sesion a week over the next ten weeks and
two Saturdays (First Aid Training). There is no exam but you will be expected to produce a portfolio to complete the course. Only one session can be missed, however, this does not include either of the information sessions or the Saturdays as these must be attended in order to complete the course.
